Electron Green News
Bremen, Germany October 2025, Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has completed the installation of a major rooftop solar system at its site on Louis-Krages-Strasse 30 in Bremen – with the support of Electron Green. The project represents one of the largest commercial and industrial solar rooftop systems in Germany.
The 4.2 MWp installation spans 46,500 sqm across two warehouse rooftops and includes c. 9,500 solar panels and 26 inverters. The system, now fully operational and successfully connected to the grid, is expected to generate approximately 3.7 GWh of clean electricity annually – enough to power 1,000 average German households. Up to 20% of this energy is projected to be consumed onsite, with the remainder exported to the grid. Mileway is also collaborating closely with its customers to optimise electricity consumption during peak solar production hours.
Ulrike Haack, Mileway Country Director Germany, said –
“This strategic investment in one of our flagship regional assets will help customers operate more efficiently and sustainably, while reducing the impact of climate change as we support the transition to a low-carbon economy. As Mileway’s largest European PV project to date, it has been a major undertaking, made possible through strong collaboration across Mileway and with the valued support of our customers and partners – including Electron Green.”
Electron Green specialises in rooftop solar, and partners with companies of all sizes, landlords, asset managers and tenants to assess, prioritise, and plan solar programmes. As well as developing projects for customers with expansive portfolios, Electron Green is also able to fully fund rooftop solar systems linked to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The approach is always collaborative, ensuring that each installation benefits from an optimal funding structure, considering commercial, technical and regulatory factors.
Rok Loncaric, Head of Business Development Europe for Electron Green, concludes –
“We are proud to have played a role in helping Mileway and its customers progress towards their carbon reduction ambitions. Our mission is to provide sustainable, cost-effective energy solutions for businesses to help them stabilise energy costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and achieve long-term economic benefits – benefiting the client, the operator, and the environment.”
