FAQ’s

We work with clients across Europe.

Solar PV (solar Photovoltaics) is a way of generating electricity using energy from the sun. Modern solar panels produce electricity from daylight and doe not require direct sunlight, although more electricity on bright sunny days.

Much of the electricity we use is produced by burning coal and gas. These are known as ‘fossile fuels’ because they originate from plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. However, these resources are limited and burning them results in harmful emissions that negatively impact the environment.

Solar energy, on the other hand, is a renewable energy source, which means it can be generated indefinitely, there are no emissions, and it is free energy from the sun.

Solar is produced if there is daylight hitting the solar panels. So, they won’t produce electricity at night, for example.
To make the most of savings, you could consider shifting work or operations patterns.

Energy is a big producer of the global warming gas, carbon dioxide (C02). Solar electricity is ‘clean’ with no CO2 emissions.  The International Energy Agency (IEA) calls solar the new ‘king of electricity’: it is fast to deploy, does not disrupt business-as-usual, and makes instant and deep cuts to carbon emissions.

No, you don’t. Solar could supply up to 40% of your electricity needs. Rooftop solar electricity is fed directly into your building and is used first. Any tops ups you need from the more expensive grid electricity will be pulled automatically.

Any solar electricity generated will be used by your business automatically. You don’t need to take any steps to make this happen.

This depends on the size of the system. A 50kW system would take around 4-5 days.

There are four key steps:
1. Evaluation: A ‘desktop’ assessment by our Solar Design Team to assess your roof for solar – size of system, any shading issues, likely savings based on any information you have provided about your energy usage. You will get a report with our recommendations
2. Surveys: A detailed on-site survey of your property, roof, electrics followed by detailed design solar design work.
3. Install: Specify equipment, planning, construction management. Everything is organised to avoid any disruption to business as usual.
4. Switch on: Once the system is in, you will start to receive clean and green electricity from the sun.

Well you don’t have to decide straight away. If you have free solar, you can change your mind and buy from us at any time.

We want to make it as easy as possible for businesses to have solar. Our free rooftop solar solution is very simple and includes: free solar designs and surveys, free solar PV system for the roof, free installation, free insurance, free maintenance for the life of your contract, a fixed price of 20p/kWh for electricity which does not go up with inflation. If you change your mind and want to own the system and look after it yourself, you can purchase from us at any time.

We want to make it as easy as possible for businesses to have solar. If you have the upfront capital for solar, one of the barriers to buying is knowing you have got the right price and right system. Electron Green won’t be beaten on price and we with match any offer you have on a like-for-like basis. All installations benefit from our focus on to quality assurance, use of Tier 1 equipment and commitment to fit the right size of system for the building and energy profile of the client.

We work with some of the biggest property companies in the world, and going out of business if a very unlikely event. However, you have a fantastic solar PV system on your roof that will continue to produce electricity for you.

Electron Green installs solar systems with a ‘long term’ mindset. Our business is not built on margins made on an install-by-install basis, and we have no incentive to specify the largest possible system. With free solar, for example, we profile the building and occupants’ energy profile and recommend the right fit system, with no wastage. Our clients know we have a vested interest in specifying the best equipment because we only get paid whilst the system are working and producing electricity.
