In 2019, Amazon co-founded the Climate Pledge – a commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions across their business by 2040. Part of this is $2 billion to support development of decarbonising technologies and services, and a pathway to 100% renewable energy by 2025. In 2020, Amazon became the world’s largest corporate purchaser of renewable energy.
